Prayer of the Faithful

The Prayer of the Faithful.

Sunday 27th September 2020

Twenty Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Tusting in the Lord, we turn to Him and bring our needs, the needs of our community, and the needs of the whole world.

For Francis the Bishop of Rome and Declan the Bishop of Clifton, that they may be true and faithful shepherds of their people..

For all those who hold positions leadership; that they will exercise the authority given to them for the common good of all those they serve.

For the priests and people of the parishes of Christ the King at Thornbury and The Holy Cross at Wotton-under-Edge. May they be blessed in their proclamation of the loving mercy of God.

For all those in our own parish community who are worried, anxious or unwell; may the Lord’s love support and comfort them.

Let us turn to the Mother of God and ask her to join her prayers with ours as we say, Hail, Mary……

God of life and love, your Spirit fills us with confidence. Listen to the prayers we make and grant what we need. We ask this through Christ our risen Lord. Amen.
